  7. Berry – Fruit. By contains sin = err
  8. Sendups – Means skits. Start strong = s. finish = end. Small = s
  9. Arboreal – A slow loris is arboreal. Anagram of a labourer
  10. Grid – Means grating. To get = dig (as in understand). This is reversed around mid-afternoon = r
  11. Weasel – Judas was a weasel (as in treacherous person). With = w stand = easel

  6. Pennon – Means banner. Sean = Penn (Sean Penn). Love = o. Naira = N (Naira is a currency)
  7. Porpoise – Means dolphin – Anagram of “Opo is pre”
  8. Bell jar – An experimental vessel. Alexander= Bell (Alexander Graham Bell). Jolt =jar
  9. Earner – One waged. War finally = r. Goes after e + anagram of near
  10. Poised – Means nonchalant. The river = Po. Anagram of “dies”
  11. Belle – Means dream (attractive woman). Alarm = bell. First thing in the evening = e
